Z60 branch sends our Condolences to Vic Baines family and friends

Sad news received today on the death of a well respected union brother
Colleagues,
VIC BAINES – REGIONAL PRESIDENT (MIDLAND & EAST COAST REGION)
Sadly, Vic passed away suddenly on Saturday, 31 December 2016, following a short illness. He was 74 years old.
Vic was a staunch activist for many years, serving as Branch Secretary for Nottinghamshire General Branch. He was a Regional Committee and Regional Council member for a number of years, and was elected to Regional President for the Midland & East Coast Region in October 2007.
Vic will be sorely missed and remembered by everyone who knew him for his loyalty, commitment, and dedication to his Branch, the Region and wider Trade Union Movement.
The funeral arrangements are as detailed:

Vic’s chosen charity is Scopes (Systematic Care of Older People in Elective Surgery). This is a charity-funded programme run by Nottingham’s hospitals to help older patients prepare for and recover from surgery to improve wellbeing and quality of life.
